Dr. Raven Baxter

Molecular biologist. Communicator. Builder. Founder & CEO of Fervae.

I'm building the infrastructure that lets scientists speak for themselves. Over the past ten years, I've gained a reputation as a legacy science communicator demonstrating what an inclusive, engaged, and authentic science community can look like.

I lead with delight

As a kid I had a million questions about the world and science just seemed like the most fun way to get answers. That feeling never left me. What did change is how often the world wanted to turn that joy into labor, or to tell me I didn't quite belong. I kept going anyway. Nobody could take my love for science away from me.

Now I spend my days building the thing I always wished existed: a space where scientists can be their whole selves out loud. My values are delight, community, love, intention, and purpose, and I want every person who finds me to feel those values at the door.

I'm a molecular biologist by training, a communicator by calling, a founder by necessity, and a trailblazer by the path I've been walking most of my life.

Founder & CEO

Fervae is the home I was always looking for

Fervae takes all of the tools marketers and influencers use to build audiences and beat the algorithm, and stacks scientific integrity, literature, community, and communication training on top. Solo or team, it's the one-of-a-kind infrastructure scientists have never had. First of its kind.

Think of it as the spa, the gym, the all-inclusive resort for science communication. A place where working scientists can grow their voice, build trust, measure their impact, and shift science culture forward with integrity instead of around it.

Goal: 50,000 scientists communicating their work to the world. Pre-launch, early summer 2026.

I believe

science is a process. And it should be protected.

with better infrastructure, we can bring the joy and delight of learning science to all of us.

there is a place for everyone in science.

the best times are ahead of us. And through community we weather whatever is.

we have to invest in the support it takes for science to be shared.

I've played a role in opening doors. And I'm really proud of that.

Science is a team sport. We hold doors open for each other, pass the mic, and share the room. The cohort I'm growing lives in that tradition, scientists and communicators walking with them as they carry this work forward.
