Dr. Raven Baxter is a molecular biologist and science communicator who makes the molecules running everyday life impossible to ignore. Known to millions as Dr. Raven the Science Maven, she turns the science behind coffee, curls, and cut grass into stories a 500K+ community keeps coming back for. Her work lives where deep molecular science meets warm, accurate storytelling, all grounded in a single belief, that science belongs to everyone.
She is the founder and CEO of Fervae, novel social media software for science professionals. She is also president and executive director of The Science Haven, a 501(c)(3) advancing STEM equity through tools, guided learning, and sustained community, and she chairs the Ethics Consortium at the Association of Science Communicators. Earlier in her career she served as Director of Science Communication at Mount Sinai's Cohen Center for Recovery from Complex Chronic Illness and Director of Diversity Initiatives at UC Irvine's School of Biological Sciences.
Her platform reaches tens of millions, with 50M+ monthly impressions and a 500K+ core community. She hosts Pfizer's Science Will Win podcast (Seasons 5 & 6) and creates The Science of Life.
