I work inside institutions too, on the science that has to be right. Manuals, curricula, and counsel for the organizations the public depends on.
A free, interactive curriculum on the immune system, vaccines, and how they are researched and regulated. I developed the curriculum and lesson content for the Reagan-Udall Foundation for the Food and Drug Administration. The Foundation contracted me directly for the work. RTI International built the platform, and the Burroughs Wellcome Fund and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation funded the project.
I’ve also trained federal executives on talking about vaccines with the public.
At Mount Sinai I led and co-wrote a 180-page manual for the Cohen Center that translated emerging clinical research on infection-associated chronic illness into plain language. Doctors, patients, and caregivers all use the same book. The center’s clinicians checked every claim, and I kept the writing at a level a patient with brain fog can follow.
We had almost 600 people attend and have received great feedback already on the tips you shared.
