EBONY Power 100 honors Dr. Raven as a STEM Trailblazer

The 2022 Ebony Power 100 is back and better than ever! This year, EBONY has reimagined their signature program to honor the achievements of African Americans across industries. The list includes a variety of leaders from business, sports, media, activism and music to entertainment.

This year's honorees include Spike Lee, Issa Rae, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira from the cast of Black Panther; Ariana DeBose, Kandi Burruss and Myles Frost from Broadway; as well as Quinta Brunson and Usher.

The 2022 Ebony Power 100 awards ceremony was held on October 29th at Milk Studios in Los Angeles. It was a night of Black excellence that celebrated these outstanding individuals for their accomplishments in their respective fields.

We are proud to recognize the achievements of these individuals who have made an impact in their communities and beyond. Congratulations to all the honorees!

Founded in 1945, Ebony is a monthly magazine that focuses on news, culture, and entertainment. Its target audience is the African-American community, and its coverage includes the lifestyles and accomplishments of influential black people, fashion, beauty, and politics. As an archival resource, Ebony holds meaning and value as a vital record of American history.

Ebony was founded to provide positive images for black people in a world of negative images and non-images. It was founded to project all dimensions of the black personality in a world saturated with stereotypes.
