1 Recording

You consent to being recorded in audio and video during your recording session for the podcast.

2 Use of the recording

The Science Maven LLC may record, edit, transcribe, translate, excerpt, publish, distribute, stream and promote the recording and any excerpts of it, worldwide, in any media now known or later developed.

This includes podcast platforms, YouTube, social media, the website, newsletters and transcripts. There is no time limit on these uses.

3 Your name, likeness and bio

The Science Maven LLC may use your name, voice, image, likeness and biographical information, and the headshot and other materials you provide, in connection with the episode and its promotion.

This use does not imply that you endorse any product, service or organization.

4 Materials you provide

You keep ownership of the photos and other materials you send. You give The Science Maven LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them with the episode and its promotion.

You may ask for a specific credit line for any photo or image you send. The Science Maven LLC will use it where practical.

5 Editing and publishing

The Science Maven LLC may edit the recording for length and clarity. The Science Maven LLC is not obligated to publish the recording or the episode.

6 Ownership

The recording and the episode belong to The Science Maven LLC.

7 No payment

Your appearance is voluntary and unpaid, unless you and The Science Maven LLC agree otherwise, separately and in writing.

8 Your statements

You confirm that you have the right to share what you share during the recording, and that you will not disclose information you are not permitted to disclose.

The views you express are your own.

9 Electronic signature

Typing your full name and checking the box on the scheduling form is your signature. It has the same effect as a handwritten one.

10 Governing law

This release is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
