Glitzer, the first museum exhibition devoted to glitter, showed the cover art for Dr. Raven Baxter's podcast The Science of Life. The Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg in Germany ran the exhibition from Feb. 28 to Oct. 26, 2025.
The museum called Glitzer the first exhibition anywhere dedicated to the material, according to its listing on Art Mile Hamburg. It presented glitter as a means of empowerment and self-determination, in protest, performance and pop culture. Curators Nina Lucia Groß and Dr. Julia Meer brought together about 40 international works in six chapters, designboom reported. They included a glittering teen bedroom by Hamburg artist Jenny Schäfer and skateboards by Mickalene Thomas. GIFs by Molly Soda and a stage outfit worn by Bill Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel were also on view. In June 2025 the museum added Puff Out, an installation of 300 square meters of fuchsia glitter by the Turkish-Belgian duo :mentalKLINIK.

Baxter's 2021 cover art for The Science of Life appeared on the exhibition's wall of glittering images, each labeled with its year. The podcast covers the intersection of the technical and social sciences.
"I'm in a museum exhibit about GLITTER in HAMBURG, GERMANY!!!" Baxter wrote on Bluesky on April 1, 2025. "Those who've been following me for a long time know my fight to make space in STEM to be unapologetically YOU." She thanked the museum "for this recognition."
Baxter has told audiences about her first research poster, which was hot pink, with glitter, feathers and rhinestones. Her advisor told her to make a plain version or skip the symposium, and she took the pink one. She shared the story when she opened Princeton's Amplifying Voices Distinguished Lecture Series in 2022. A year earlier she gave the keynote Unapologetically You in STEM at the University of Minnesota.
After Hamburg, Glitzer traveled to the Gewerbemuseum Winterthur in Switzerland, where it ran from Nov. 28, 2025, to May 17, 2026.
